Help... missing fuel rail clip
I hope someone can help me out here. I recently decided to clean up the topend of my motor in my 88 GTA. Well I disassembled my fuel rail to replace all the o-rings and polished the the rail. Today while reassembling the whole rail I noticed that I was missing one of the lil brackets that hold the crossover tubes into the rail.
( DAMN CAT !! )
I was hoping if anyone would know where to get a new one , or may have a extra, or would the V6 have the same pc on its fuel rail??? Im going on the hunt friday so I would be thankful for any ideas... Thanx

I would think, at least in theory, that once the rails are assembled to the intake base, the supply crossover tubes would be held captive, and wouldn't absolutely require the retainer brackets. Then again, I've never tried it, and would prefer to have them all in place as an extra security measure.
Fabricating a new one wouldn't be too difficult. Find some 12 Ga. steel, and start drilling/cutting/forming.

I agree with Vader....the clip on the opposite side will eleminate any movement of the tube. The tube at the other end can't go in any further and the clip on the other side stops it from coming out so you should be fine. Just put a washer on the bolt big enough to catch the lip of the tube if you want some added security.

thanks for the reply..Yes Vader I did check the box.. EWWWWWWW.. Well I went to the dealer and was floored. They said they could get a crossover tube kits but it would be over $100.
I will try and make a lil bracket instead as I to think once bolted down It shouldnt lead but ...... I will let ya know what happens... Thanks again

ThanxI took mine off to clean & polish, ended up tossing the rail connecting tubes and all those little retainers & screws, fabricated new tubes from stainless steel, replaced and rerouted fuel lines with SS 3/8" tubing. Installed a Holley AFPR, and deleted the cold start injector.
I have a bad habit of modifying things.
Here's a pic.
if the regulator looks weird to you, it's because it's no longer angled. GM angled it to get clearance for their FPR instead of designing one to fit under the plenum.
