TV Cable replacement

is there a way to replace the TV Cable without removing the plenum/runners? it looks like it has to go on the inside of the runners, and cannot be ran on the outside of them, and the mounting point on it is too big to get through the runners. i haven't picked up the cable yet, so can i buy one that disconnects at the end(s) that way i can run it through the runners without removing them.

From: edge of the map
Car: red one
Engine: on the floor
Transmission: next to engine
Axle/Gears: the ones that turn
Unhook it at the trans first, then unhook it at the TB and pull it up from the top.

thats the problem, it doesnt fit through the runners either way i pull it, from top or from the bottom, both ends are too big to fit through the runners. if i can disconnect one of the ends from the cable, it would go through fine, but it looks/feels like its a one piece unit that would not go back together if i pulled it apart.

When I changed mine I took it loose from the top and pulled it from behind the runners and zip tied my new one to the old one and pulled it down to the trans. I didnt have a problem from getting it out from the runners once it was loose at the bottom. The hardest part was getting it past all of those wires behind the motor. It only took like 20 or 30 minutes total.

i dont understand how you guys are able to get it out so easy, the mounting point on the cable is about 1 and a half inches round, and wont fit through the runners. is it possible that the aftermarket calbe that i have is bigger than the original equipment one? can someone maybe post a picture of the original one.

I have seen some universal one that are bigger. The stock one has a silver D shaped button. The universals are usually round. Also you have to pull it out from the back of the runners, not between the tubes. I am at work and wont be home this weekend to take any pics.
Hope that helps?
