Help with code 33 - 34, when cold.

I have replaced the maf, and this did not fix the problem. The car does not seem to lose power when it throws the code, but it throws a code 33 and 34 when I drive it in the morning when it is cold outside, like 30-37 degrees outside, always happens when parked outside overnight and has thick ice on the window. Once I have driven the car for a while I can restart the car and get no code, and the code very rarely comes on at any other time, like 5-6 times a year if not cold. I rarely drive the car when it is cold outside. So I don’t get the code very often. I was doing some searching and was thinking it was probably the relays (burn off, and maf power) But was hoping for confirmation. Or thought of what else it may be. Also I have a 180 degree thermostat with 2 1/16 bypass holes in it to help water flow so it takes bout 10 min to fully warm up. Takes bout 2 min to throw the codes. Thanks for the help

The thermostat should have nothing whatsoever to do with it, although it may cause a few other nuisance problems.

A simultaneous '33' and '34' almost certainly points to MAF power or connection problems in the MAF circuit (includign the ECM). The fact that it reports both high and low readings without reporting a problem with a lost TPS signal doesn't leave much.

It is also possible that the MAF burn off relay is inadvertently powering the MAF burn off cycle while the engine is running, causing the high reading.

before i changed the MAF i had already checked the burn off module because i did not want to spend money on that module very expensive. the code 33 is high voltage to the MAF and the 43 is ESC module from what i have been told.
----------
85 came with a burn off module not a relay it was the only year.
