IGNITION PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
I've posted about this one before....... but apparently i was going about it completely wrong.
Problem: At random times, i would try to start the car and it would not crank at all.
Solution: Switch on B&M Megashifter is bad......
Story: i've been having this problem for some time, i already had the top of the console off in the car, so when i got in the car tonight and tried to start it and it pulled the same crap on me, i decided to rip out the entire console and take a look at those switches....... i forgot what did what, but finally figured out that if you connect the two thicker wires together, that is the only condition where the car will start. i pulled the wires off the switch, touched them together, and the car fired right up...... hopes this helpes anyone else thats having a problem like this

Actually....... i just went to start it last night when it was REAL cold out, and along with the entire unit being hard to turn, it DIDNT crank....... at this point i think its the actual cylinder that the key goes on, and since a new one is only 40 bucks on hawks, i got one. we'll see how it works out, ill keep you all posted
The two thicker wires are for your park/neutral switch. If they aren't connected together (becuase of a bad switch or faulty wiring, etc.) it won't even try to crank. It would be like putting it in Drive and turning the key- nothign will happen.
The two smaller wires going to another switch in the shifter are for your reverse lights.
Agreed, that if the switch is now working (or you just twised the two wires together temporarily to get it running) the next place to look for a problem is likely the ignition switch itself or possibly just a bad starter.

Re: IGNITION PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
i never installed the ignition switch, and the only time the car will not crank is when the starter gets hot, thats why when i described when it was FREEZING out, and the starter wouldnt turn over, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?? was it just so cold that the starter didnt want to turn over? how does that make any sense.
