TPI to Carb... Some questions.
I have decided to go to the carb world. TPI is holding me back.
I did a search and this is what I came up with.
In order for the fuel pump to work you need to keep the ECM in or run a hot wire from the ignition to the pump. I will keep the ECM. Depending on my questions.
I am debating on what to do about the engine harness. I could get a carb harness I guess but I would like to keep my serpentine setup. So I would have to figure out how to rig the alternator wiring. Carbed setups had two wires, serps have 3.
If I decided to keep the TPI harness, would it be possible to use the TPI distributor and external coil? Or will have to use the vacuum carb one with in mount coil?
From what I read from my search you want to wire up the electric choke to any ignition hot wire.
If I took the ECM out would this affect the VSS speedo?

Why couldnt you just rewire the fuel pump relay to a 12v hot in run/start wire?
