vortec heads ,edelbrock lower intake,Lt1 hot cam(525"with 1.6rr) along with exhaust and intake mods with a 2500 stall and atleast a 3.23, 3.42 and up would be better but no lower than 3.23 along with a shift kit should be mid 13"s all day on street tires
mid 13s
...Is that all?

Ya Heck,, I just ran a 14.10 on a completely stock motor without headers or trans mods. I would hope that he'd run high 12's!

The heads will not work with a stock lower intake thats why i said to get a new one and from what i have read on here edelbrock is one of the only companies to make them now.I dont have any part numbers but you could check there web site or even ebay for the intake and try searching the junkyards for a low mileage set of heads and have them checked and bowl blended and a little port work and you will be very pleased with your results and most people wont even be able to tell your motor isnt stock. You can get the cam set from GM and it will come with everything you need.Along with all that you should get long tube headers, exhaust,[find one that fits the sound your going for]cold air,and you might not need a tune to get it running but it is always the right thing to do for the best performance and driveabilty of the car, there no point in building a car if doesnt meet all of your goals take your time and do it proper the first time and you will save money in the long run.
