vortec heads

Just wandering if anyone here has bought the vortec heads and worked over there original intakes to work with them. I really don`t want too dish out 400 bucks plus shipping for a new intake for the heads. so any help?

It is possible to do this but you have to also use two different intake manifold gaskets to cover the upper portion of the Vortec head port. I know a guy that did it but he's always fought vacuum leaks with it, I wouldn't do it unless you don't have a choice.

that kinda sucks, i see you went with vortech heads also. I was did you go with the scroggins manifold or stealth ram? Instead of the scroggins I`m thinking of ordering the stealth ram. it`s about the same price for the intake except for the new rails.
