tpi wiring harrnesses the same

are all tpi computer wiring harrnesses the same?? i know that 1985 is probibly different and in 1990 they went to speed dencity. but is 1986 to 1989 the same? i got an87 gta and am putting an 89 350 in it. i got the engine from an 89 iroc-z and the computer but not the wiring harness. the wiring harness is in good shape in the gta but will it hook up? for your input

you should have no problems if your car and the donor car both have the cold start injector setup. MAF sensor harnesses should be the same.

what if the motor your putting in dont have a cold start injector and the cars original setup did??

Then you would need to reprogram your computer I believe. Are you keeping the 9th or losing it?

Does your '87 GTA have VATS? I don't think they do, so you can swap in the '89 Camaro 350 and computer. Reuse your existing harness and just leave the plug for the 9th injector sitting there.

yeah, but i was looking at the harness the other day and it dont look right. there are only like 3 wires coming off the passangers side injector harness. the drivers side got like 8 or so wires. i might just put in this 5.0l tbi motor out of my running (right now, cause i need to get to work) camaro. I'de hate to do that to this great conditioned gta with low low miles(54k) but i want it to run. would this even work??
