COMP Cam Kit

I was planning on using this kit from summit on my TBI 383 motor but Im going to swap to TPI.

What I wanna know is, how much bigger could I go on lift that would still be sufficient for the TPI setup? Is that a decent cam for a TPI 383? Im looking for more torque since its going to be in a truck.

Engine: 305 TPI / ZZ4 cam
Transmission: Stage 2 700R4, LS1 driveshaft
Axle/Gears: Strange 3.42 w/ Auburn
Cam might be a bit much.

This months issue of Super Chevy has a 383 TPI with a Comp XR264HR (212/216 .487/.495 110) making 458hp and 534 lbs torque.

yea, im hoping to pick up that issue tomorrow. I REALLY want to read that article. Ive heard people tuning that cam with a TBI setup, I figured it would be easily do-able with TPI.

I think ill just stick with that cam because it seems pretty reasonable since it also has a 114 LSA. Thats why its easy to tune with.
