Matching Stock L98 to a TC

I've recently purchased a new TCI streetfight 700R4 and Torque converter. I didn't do my research before buying the TC and i now realise its around a 3000 rpm stall

Could anyone give me the stock cam duration on a L98 so that i can match it up with a TC ? i've looked on the info boards but cant see the info i'm after.

202/206 degs @ .050 for the stock 87 L98 cam. That's a lot of stall for a stock L98.

I think you'll be a lot happier with the 2400 RPM versus 3000 RPM with a stock L98. Change the heads, cam, and intake and the 3000 RPM becomes the better choice.

What is the "math" to figure out what stall would work best for any particular engine combo? That's something i'll be needing to look into, soon.
