Setting min air properly puts TPS WOT voltage under 4.00V

Hi everyone,

I finally have a proper datalog cable and it's amazing the live information I can get from my engine now. Anyways, I noticed that my IAC counts at idle hang around the 70-90 range and I know that's too high. The problem is, when I go to set the min air and open the throttle blades and re-adjust the TPS, I run out of TPS stroke and it won't read over 4.00 volts for WOT.

Does anybody have any solutions to this? Drill a small hole in each butterfly maybe? I run ported and polished plenum/runners/base, trickflow aluminum heads, headers, 280/280 adv. duration cam with .480/.480 lift, with a '165 MAF ecm.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

U could have a TPS bad on the top end.

Or your TB may be a little out of whack or worn/broken.

Kinda common on 80-90's GM TB's to grind the stops a little to see correct WOT voltage on the TPS.

Do check all the stupid stuff first like the throttle cable isnt busted or binding and your TB doesnt have excessive slop in it.

U should shoot for 10 or less steps on the IAC when hot. Minimizes the effects it has on driveability that way and is properly set to boot.

U are setting the timing with the EST wire pulled correct?
