Firebird rebuild is ending! Opinons wanted!!!
Hi Everyone,
I haven't been on here in a while... I've been busy rebuilding/upgrading my 350 TPI in my 89. It has been a long and expensive project, but I've learned a lot and (so far) am happy with the results. My motor is running, however I still need to time it and have my PROM updated.
I am looking for opinions on horsepower/TQ numbers my engine may yield. I don't have a dyno available to me - so I'm just looking for everyone's best "guesstimate"
Here is the specs for my motor...
Dart Iron Eagle 180cc/64cc heads w/ 1.48 springs & guide-plates
GM ZZ4 roller cam
Comp Cam Magnum 1.52 Roller-tip rockers
double-roller timing chain
Ford Racing 24# injectors
Hedman 1 5/8" Shorty headers
TPIS Big Mouth Intake
AS&M Large Tube Runners
Ported factory plenum to match AS&M runners
180* thermostat
double-roller timing chain
trick flow pushrods
Moroso BlueMax plug wires
MSD Blaster Coil
Bosch +4 spark plugs
1997-style Ram Air Hood (I will be using a ram-air filter assembly soon!)
If anyone has any other (positive/constructive) opinions on additional things to purchase, please let me know. So far, I'm considering an underdrive pulley set.
I know this is getting too long
but I wanted to take just a quick second to thank all the members who have answered my questions during my membership. I truly appreciate all the help.
Thanks and I look forward to your opinions!

Thanks for the reply, 1989GTATransAm!
So you think about 300 HP, 360 TQ at the crank?

A little more at the crank. You are running a 700R4.

1989GTATransAm,
I estimated the 300 HP, 360 TQ using about a 10% drivetrain loss. What is a typical drivetrain loss (%) for a 700R4?
Thanks again!
