check engine,blink code test,serious question please respond

when u ground the terminal on the ecm for the blink test when your check engine light is on.if u leave the jumpers in and start the car will that screw up the computer?i need to know because my iroc has a zz4 with a rebuilt trans and there is no power what so ever like there should be?any replies would be appreciated.

ive done it on accident a few times,thus far {knock on wood} ive never screwed anything up.

did you have an SES light on in the first place? if so,its entirely possible that is the reason you have low power.
