question about 305 swap!
im buying a 305 tpi long block from an 87 camaro to replace my 305 tpi in my 89 trans am! the long block has a bigger crank in it than my 305! is there going to be any problems when i swap them besides just needing an intake for the motor?

I don't understand why you have a bigger crank stock for stock.
Why would you need a new intake? They should both work. Just swap the 1 runner to block off the CSI.

If he told you that, then he has no idea what he's talking about.

Nothing at all. There are no "bigger cranks". The 1987 engine is going to be the same as your 1989.

Re: question about 305 swap!
only difference will be the 87 will have a multi belt system. Where your 89 was a Serpt belt set up. Also the Alternator and the A/C pump are swapped.
Crank is the same.
