how can I tell if my chip is a hypertec?
I was serching threw my car yesterday and I found a hypertec book from the early-mid 90's, The guy I bought the car from didnt say anything about it having this, maybe someone before him did it.
I was curious so I pulled the ECM down and took a look inside. I noticed on the ECm that there was a date on it decmber 96 or something like it has been replaced with a junkyard one or something.
So I looked inside and the chip has no lables on it or anything, It has some numbers on it but I searched on hypertec and they didnt match anything.
So I guess what im asking is how can I tell if its a hypertec?
thanks

hypertec chips are typically white and marked hypertech.
The original ones are typically blue and have 4 character codes on them.
Pics would help
