Few years back when I bought mine, they were running around $500 a pair. I don't keep up with the prices on them...but I think less people want them these days, and the prices are now lower. Try ebay to see what they are selling for there.

305, Yes.
For an 86 block, yes. 87 and later IIRC requires alterations to the intake manifold bolt holes.

With a little intake port work, they work great on 305. Same size chamber and bigger valves.
I paid 400+60 shipping for a set a year or so ago off corvette forum. They were in great shape.

Do a search for my screen name. I ran this combo for a few years and it got my into the mid 13s @ 101mph while delivering an average of 22-24mpg and 28mpg on the highway. Aluminum heads on a TPI 305 with a cam, ported stock intake, and good exhaust is a dynamite combination. Mine was making around 300hp.

Even with the stock intake, really? That's great! Mine will be on a 350, I was thinking a cam, already got Hooker headers & 3" catback. Good to hear!

Re: Fair price for Corvette L98 heads?

I was looking through the for sale forum and saw that there are two different corvette L98 castings. One is the 113 and is supposed to be better and the other is the 128. Whats so good about the 113?

The 113's have better exhaust ports. I think they are the D shaped exhaust ports, for better flow IIRC.

I've always heard the 113 casting was the best. No professional tests, just what I've heard.

Does that really matter if you're going to get them ported?

Actually 463s (ZZ4) heads flow better than both the 128s and the 113s. The 113s have better exhaust flow than the 128s due to their D-shaped exhaust ports.
