cooling lines...

Has anyone had any issues w/ the cooling lines that run between the harmonic balancer and the oil pan?

Mine have begun the rud on the balancer, the top line mostly. Are they use for cooling oil, since they run to the oil filter housing?

Re: cooling lines...

Yeah, engine coolant from the radiator runs through them for your oil cooler. There's two brackets welded to the metal tubes that are supposed to hold them in place. One attaches to one of the oil pan bolts on the driver's side, it's actually a stud with a nut, and the other bracket bolts to one of the small bolts on the fuel pump block off plate on the passenger side of the motor. You should check both of these brackets and make sure they're still holding the tubes in the right place. I just put this back together on my motor, and it's pretty solid when the brackets are bolted down.

Re: cooling lines...

Ill have to look and see if the brackets are there at all. I dont recall seeing any when I had the car on the lift. Im sure if I had seen them I would have checked them. I need to replace the line that is rubbing since it is leaking slightly.

Re: cooling lines...

Well I ve made some call and it seems you can not get these lines anymore, not even from the dealer.

Looks like it off to the boneyard or try and fab up my own.

Anyone out here possibly have them to sell??? I can post some pics of the ones I need to avoid any confusion.
