Another pesky Idle Problem.....
I have a new (reman) 305 in my IROC. New everything except TPS and IAC. The rpm's seem to 'stick' when shifting gears. For instance, going from first to second if the R's are around 2K, when I push in the clutch the rpm's stay the same. But if I lighty (very lightly) touch the gas pedal the r's will drop back to normal (750). The TPS seems to be working fine....checked the voltage across the full range with my scanner. I have noticed a 'ticking' sound around the back of the intake - could the idle problem be due to a vacuum leak??
