I was just going through the different heads available at http://www.paceparts.com and came across these:

I've never heard of these heads before. And they probably aren't worth the rather lofty price, but it'd be nice to have some Poncho parts on my engine.

I dont know how they are out of the box, but a guy I am friends with got those from Pontiac to use on his southwest tour race car. Of course they were ported to the max, but he was quite impressed with them.
I think that you could spend 1700 on something else with a port job included tho, which is what I would do.

 

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking too. I'm a long way off from buying a set of heads anyway, I'd just never heard of these before and was cuirious.

 

I would have to dig up my catalog, but IIRC those heads come bare... makes the 850 a pop that much harder to swallow.

I'm bored... yea, those come bare so that price I'm sure is for a bare head.
