iam thinking of doing something stupid????
ok i have a 305 tpi lb9 motor runs good with only 52000 miles on it ..know my question is what does my car run from the factory in th quarter mile??my car has 373 possi in it for the rear .....know my qustion is will the cars frame hold if i put a carbed 350 in it with 375 horse??fram is in good condition ..i know i shouldnt change the motor but it is hard to find parts around here where i live ....WHAT WOULD MY QUARTER MILE TIMES BE WITH THE CARBED 350 PLEASE ANSWER

Depends, you sure about a 3:73 posi in the rear? I don't think that was an option, unless someone installed it aftermarket. Check your RPO codes. Anyway I could be wrong. That car the way it is provided its got a good tune and driver should maybe do a low 15? Possibly high 14. But a VERY high 14. You could have it in the 13's pretty easily. Headers, better cam, and a port job of the runners and intake would have you there.

I've seen a carbed 350 chevy run anywhere from 9 seconds to 16+ seconds, so pick a number somewhere in there.
Get subframe connectors welded in if you're going to put in a stronger engine. That will help the frame hold the power.
You're on the internet so you should have no trouble finding parts for your car. Have you heard of Summitracing.com and Jegs.com at least? Not to mention all the great thirdgen.org sponsors at the right side of this board ---->
