Fast Chip?

Fast Chip?
I have a completly stock 88 GTA with a 350 tuned port. I was thinking of getting a Fast chip for it. It costs 160 bucks. In the description on there website (fastchip.com) it says "VATS equipped) What the hell is that. I need some help. I am dumb. Also. What would this thing do for my performance.

VATS = Vehicle Anti Theft System aka the little chip embedded in your ignition key. The Fastchip should be good for a couple of tenths in the quarter
