Here's all I know about the car so far!

1988 IROC 350 TPI, Auto, T-Top, Body and interior excellent, paint good, all power and 173K miles. Owner says car still runs good.

I'd say around $2700,I bought my GTA for $2250 not what it's worth obviously but a steal so offer him $2500 if it indeed runs good .Does it smoke at start up? How does it shift? Find all this out before you even offer a price.If it doesn't smoke any time then it's probably had the valve seals replaced and if it shifts hard then at 173,000 it's most likely got a fairly new tranny as well.May be worth $3000 ,loan value at the bank should be around $3200-$3500

Thanks Mike. I'm going to look at the car today so I'll check out those things. The owner said nothing has ever been done to the engine or tranny.
I'm also going to look at a 1986 IROC 305 TPI Auto Red T-Tops. Engine has just been rebuilt and bored .030 over. Otherwise the engine is stock ie, factory heads, exhaust etc went back on. Needs a paint job. Interior is average. $1000
Third car to look at is a red 1988 IROC w/ 200K miles. Owner wasnt sure if 305 or 350.
I believe its TPI after I described the differences between TPI/TBI/Carb, but he wasnt sure of that either. New tires, brakes and exhaust. Body and paint supposedly good. Interior excellent. He is asking $2500. He bought the car new and used it to travel for sales calls so mostly highway miles.
