Plenum Porting and runner porting
Plenum Porting and runner porting
Ok, I started to port my plenum and I took down the floors that stick up. Now, do i have to port the runners ???? Is it supposed to be done also? How hard is this? Any where that gives a detailed explanation? How do you gasket matched runners to the plenum and intake?
Should I port the sides of the plenum also? It looks like it supports it from collapsing.
What is base porting?
thanks

I would do the runners while you have them off. Knock down the wall in the runners where the tubes are attached to the mounting flanges. It may not seem like a lot but take the amount of material you remove and times it by eight and it adds up.

Ron,
Nice site there. That polishing job on the upper plenum is nice! Makes me want to pop mine back off and re-do it, or perhaps find an extra one to do. WOW!
