vacuum thingy

I have an 85 t/a, it's been bout 2yrs since i've started putting her back together after changing the heads, and i'm confused as 2 where this vacuum thing bolts up 2 (i think it goes somewhere on the back of the engine) and where the lines go? I know one of the lines off the T goes to the throttle body (the tape came off of the other lines) heres the pics

Re: vacuum thingy

That gets bolted in between your ignition coil and the mounting bracket that's attached to the intake manifold.

Re: vacuum thingy

that's great! I didn't put that bracket back on. Would it hurt if i took the two bolts out of the intake to put the bracket on, or would i have to take the whole intake off, because of the bolt torque sequence? Thanks at least i know where it goes now...

Re: vacuum thingy

I believe those two bolts get torqued next to each other in sequence anyway. Either way I wouldn't worry about unbolting just those two. Just don't forget your sealant.

Re: vacuum thingy

On the intake manny bolts that you're pulling out. Use a sealant with Teflon.
