how much power to expect...

10:1 compression
383ci
64cc TBI swirl port heads
212/218 .444/.454 110lsa
Stock TPI
Hooker Long Tubes
H-pipe
MSD 8.5mm Superconductors
MSD Blaster 2 Coil
New Cap/Rotor/Ignition Module
67gph Fuel pump

i am thinking my car will put down like 270-280rwhp and around maybe 400ft/lbs at like 3000rpm...

has anyone run 350 TBI heads on a 383 TPI before?

Re: how much power to expect...

The heads are the key to horsepower. With stock tbi heads you might well be right. With decent aftermarket heads I would expect a lot more horsepower.

yea ditch the heads and upgrade the tpi. with the tpi and the 383 you have one hell of a street motor. the tq numbers might be a little higher then what you think. but the hp number look about right

Re: how much power to expect...

yeah im planning on getting different heads but later on down the road, they arent THAT big of a concern with me right now because the TBI heads were meant to make low end torque and a 383+TPI and these heads make one decent amount of torque...

id say right now im running a mid/high 13 with stock TBI heads/stock TPI and 2.73 rearend gears
