As has been posted on this board time and time again, for the miniram to reallt shine, you need good flowing heads and a big cam.

I have fully ported sportsman II's with 2.08/1.625 valves

As for cam, 242/250 @0.050 with 0.657"/0.600" lift - solid roller

as I said, big cam

isnt the ZZ9 like a race cam for the track only? i though that the ZZ4 was more for street. I might be wrong though.

Are emissions a factor over in GERMANY? I know that the TPIS ZZ-409 cam with 226/226 @ .050,.520/.520 @ 1.5:1, and a 112 LSA will also work well in that combo. You could try one of Comp Cams EXTREME ENERGY cams also.

What do you think of this cam for my 383 miniram, 225/240 .525/.558 , 116 LSA.

Hey Randy, Jessie is a hell of a guy. The only reason why I even mentioned TPIS is because I bought a ZZ-409 from a friend for $150. He had it in a 94 Z-28 with a 396 stroked LT-1 with MTI ported LT-4 Heads and intake. He made 415 RWHP and 410-420 RWTQ with this cam on motor, but wanted more so he installed a SOLID ROLLER. Another thing about this particular cam is, he had it specially ground with a 115 LSA, so he could spray it. It idled like stock, but screamed up top. I will be using it in a 383 with a MR, but not a NEW MINI-RAM unit from them. I would only get a used unit from the classified ads. I would definitely call Comp Cams and get one of their EXTREME ENERGY cams if I were you.
