Rear Brakes

Hey guys, what can I do to make my rear brakes acttually brake. They are pretty much worthless, they simply don't work. I was thinking about putting a new proportioning valve, anyone knows who sells them?

From: pgh,pa,
did you check your calipers, i checked mine and they were both shot, yours might just need to be adjusted. i changed both of my rear calipers and now they work great.

Almost everyone complains that their rear disks won't work, including me, with almost all parts replaced, so only thing that I see
reasonable is upgrading those damn things to something... eh drums.. downgrading

You guys should ask this on the suspension/chassis/brakes board... actually, just search the board. We've covered that topic more than a few times

If you've already got disk brakes then just add and adjustable proportioning valve. I did and my rear brakes work just as good if not better than the fronts Later

you may want to upgrade,I used powerstop rotors and performance friction pads all around and the car stops on a dime without any fade.If you did use a proportioning valve the fronts still will have to be 75% or so of your breaking force

use your E-Brake once a day to keep the calipers adjusted. My rear disks stop anything.

Raptor-I have never gone to sw military but Ive talked to alot of people who do on sunday nights at about2am things start happening they tell me. It be cool to get together and check out cars. Maybe a day at rivercity? If you havent been there yet your missing alot compared to lamo dragway. I took my car to rivercity last wed. and ran a 12.8@116 with a 75hp shot of juice and a 2.3 60 ft. Found out the fuel pump in my tank had fallen apart and the brushes were barely able to contact. This was a big root of my problems cause it couldnt feed the external pump. Im still waiting to buy a dfi setup, but it works for now. Let me know if you wanna go up there one day. Or I just thought about this. I autox also. Sun Nov 19th is the next one at retama park. Its a blast and this is the last one to be held at retama. Email me if your interested and ill fill you in.
