Ok here is the deal, i'm looking at buying this car at this webpage http://www.geocities.com/leeson.rm/

With all of these mods the current owner is having the problem of it running just fine. Then after running for a while it just up and dies. Then after about 5 minutes you can start it back up and then repeats this...
I need some ideas!
and remember, its still running the stock chip for the 305TPI 5speed with all of these mods!

i have the same problem with my car,, definatley ignition related. probably the pickup coil or ignition module.

Well i thought the same, but he has replaced the distributor with 2 different ones.
So i don't know what the problem is.

Thinking of trading my 91RS + 3000-4000 for it.

Have to see what i come up with.

Any other ideas on this!?

 

I think the problem is the chip!
How does it idle? Does it idle between 500 -750 rpms? How long does it idle? And does it idle in open loop?
If you just do the math it doesn't add up!
You have a 350 TPI motor with 24# injectors and a 305 computer chip! And a cam, heads and a super ram and a 58TB!
I think the chip works in close loop then when it warms up it goes into open loop and it dies.
Just my .02 Ah I'll be generous 2 and 1/2 cents.lol.
