Like I said the whole upper is off, runners, TB, and Plenum. I figured the AFPR, port the plenum, Tb bypass ?, and any thing you guys think of? 122,000 miles, YOu think a trip to Cruzin auto for cleaning and follow matching for the injectors?

You shouldn't do the coolant bypass if you ever drive on the expressway.

how much money you want to spend? cleaning and matching the injectors would be a smart move, a new TB? lot of debate goes on here if the gain (if any) is worth the expense.

Take off the base and port that too. Remove the plenum's EGR walls, gasket match the runner openings in the plenum and the runners themselves, and gasket match the runner openings on the base too. Port the head side of the TPI base as well. You may as well go all the way if you've come this far. It's not that hard. You've just gotta pull the distributor, drain the coolant, disconnect the fuel lines, and unbolt the intake manifold and off it comes. I'm curious, did you have to remove the valve covers to get at the runner bolts that sit in between each runner pair? I did, and the passenger side valve cover was a ****ing nightmare, with all the emissions **** over it.

No, I was able to get all the bolts with out removing the valve covers. The one bolt in rear driverside by the Distrib, that is the bolt from hell! I have the distributor out right now thats how I got in this mess. I had to replace the pickup coil and I had to remove everything to get the Distirb out.

I live in Texas and have an 87 Formula 350, I did the coolant bypass and am very happy with the results. I take 200 mile trips in the car quite often and don't have any problems.

Well my car would not get any spark and as I was tring to trouble shoot the HEI module the connector for the pick up coil fell a part. When I pulled the Distributor and got to the pickup coil it was a big ball of rust.

You can have your stock tb bored out to 52mm for about $150. Also a good time to relocate the MAT sensor to the intake pipe.
