Car keeps stalling!! Help!!!

after i threw out my 305 TPI and put in the totally modded 355 TPI, my car keeps shuuting off until it gets warm. WTF?? Can it be the wrong O2 sensor? I have the A/C Delco w/one wire on it. It connects to the headers. Thanks guys..

Define "totaly modded 355"...did you change injectors, EPROM, adjust the FP accordingly?

Ok,
It has TFS heads, afpr, crane gold roller rockers, edelbrock 52 mm tb, edel base, edel runners, ported plenum, all free mods, headers, 3" flowmaster exhaust, hollow cat, msd 6a, F*** motor sports 24lb injectors, k and n. crane cam, STOCK 305 chip, and fuel pressure is about 42psi. I havent played w/ the TPS yet either. Its making a loud sucking sound, i gotta mess with it. 5-speed too. Thanks for the help!!
P.S. Procharger in the Spring..Wahoo!!

FG,

What year is the car? If you have a 90+ car and are still using the stock 305 PROM, I think you've found the biggest part of the problem. With your mods list, you'll probably even have trouble with the stock 350 PROM, but it should at least be better than the 305 programming.

The "sucking" sound you are hearing is very common to Edelbrock/BBK throttle bodies. The IAC air passages are not muffled as well as the Rochester TBs, so the noise will be there forever - get used to it.

If it's a LOUD sucking sound it's most likely because your IAC valve is stuck open all the way. I'd try to reset the IAC first (following the procedure listed in the technical articles section) and that will probably take care of that. As far as stalling... is the idle pretty decent when it does it ? Is it TOO low ? The 02 sensor has nothing to do with it since the ECM ignores it until the engine gets warm and goes into closed loop. You would definately need a custom chip for that engine. A 305 chip will hold it back big time.
