383 TPI Computer intake questions

383 TPI Computer intake questions

will i have a problem running TPI on this motor its going to be speed density i havnt decided on an intake yet accel super ram or mini ram or the ram jet which one is best perfromance wise?.....its going to have a 92 350 computer should i chip it ? or have it sent out to be reprogrammed ?







I have 383 I just Purchased here are the specs
GM Vortec cast iron heads
Hardened retainers and 1.25'' diameter valve springs
2.02'' swirl polished intake valves
1.60'' swirl polished exhaust valves
Hardened pushrods

Camshaft Specs
:
Hydraulic Flat Tappet
Duration @ .050'' Lift: 234 Intake / 244 Exhaust
Lift: .487'' Intake / .508'' Exhaust
Lobe Separation: 112°

Absolutely you're going to need a custom chip to make a camshaft that large work with a TPI computer. Any one of those three are good intakes.
Ask around amongst your fellow car guys, there has to be someone in New York who does custom chips.

prom or a whole computer ? like hypertech sells one and jet perfromacne sells one or should i find someone who burns em?

dont waste your time with a hypertech or jet chip or anything equivenent to that.

you will need to have someone custom tune the car if you ever want results

The PROM. And as LoneStar and I said, you need to find someone local to you who does custom chips. The Hypertech and JET are for stock engines, and they dont even do that very well.
