Identify this Wire?
Identify this Wire?
Hey guys... My friend's car has this wire disconnected... and was hoping someone here could Identify where / what it should go to?
Thanks.. I've attached pics from both sides (one engine comp, on Pass compartment... and then a close up wire/grommet)
Thanks for your input.
Dave

Re: Identify this Wire?
This is a total guess, but since its a manual trans car, that could be part of the clutch safety switch to the starter. The starter will not engage unless the clutch is depressed.

year would help. Also the wire connector ends.
I doubt it's related to the clutch safety. That black connector with the yellow and purple wire is the safety switch.

That is not a factory wire, someone must have added it for something.
