help w/ 91 camaro RS.... need suggestions!

my friend has a 91 camaro RS w/ the 305.. and he wants to add headers/cam/heads/intake and just basically make the car pretty fast, but very streetable.. (he wont go to the track much)..

what would you guys suggest? i was looking at the 1LE suspension, with SLP Headers, either the LT4 Hotcam or of some sort, and i am not sure about heads?..

what are some suggestions for some mods? i know there are alot of free mods on my car, what are some on his camaro?

thanks for all the help, please reply ASAP!

WEll assuming hes got a TBI, since it is a RS. I would say you would be better to ask over on the TBI board about what is best. I know that doing all the mods you can to the TBI unit is very helpful. Then do what all cars benifit from. Get a K&N, Pipe cold air to it somehow, Put a set of 3.42 or 33.73 gears in it. Do a full exhaust like headers on back. Then do ignition, shift kit, amd do some suspension stuff liek better tires and polyurethane bushings.
If you want to move into the head and cam area then you will need a custom chip. I know my TPI needs one bad. Anyrate Dont get to wild on the cam.. The LT$ HOT cam is way to much for a TBI's power range, it really out of the TPI's reach to. Look at something smaller like a Crane Energy cam that is made to operate to 5000 or 5500rpm.
If you want to invest money to get heads and a cam both, Sell the car and buy a L98 or LT1 car. If your going to heads andd cam you will also need a bigger TB unit like the holly unit in the jegs catalogue. Which is expensive and so will be the heads and the cam aint cheap either. Then onto this you still have to tach on installation, plus other mods to run the thing like the exhaust and Ignition system, computer chip.... and so on. So check your cost effectiveness before you dive into this. One solution would be to convert it to a carb and just buy one of those Holly or Eldelbrock complete head/cam/intake/and carb set ups.
Just my $.02
