Edelbrock manifold question
Hey Ya'll, last night I was mocking up my motor to check the oil pump drive shaft end play. I installed the head gaskets and aluminum heads - just snugged the heads - didn't torque 'em down. Next,I tried to install my Edelbrock HighFlow TPI base. Here's where my problem comes in. I could get
the bolts in one side only - on the other side the bolt holes were about .100"
off. The block was decked - leaving the pistons .010 in the hole. Should I
sort of slot the holes on the base and the gasket to make them fit or what ?
Has anyone had this problem ? Any and all help or suggestions will be greatly
appreciated !
Hey Moe, no wonder the water don't work -
these pipes is clogged up with wires.

Re: Edelbrock manifold question
Just a thought but did you try the stock intake to see if that lined up? Probably wont since elebrock doesnt make crap but u never know.

Re: Edelbrock manifold question
use a flashlight and look in the ports to see how the runners match up . If they match slot the holes . Depending on which manifold gaskets you're using there might be thinner ones available. If it's no match on the heads you'll have to get the manifold milled . I had to slot the stock TPI manifold on my 350 but the stealth ram had room to spare
