Any experience with Brodix Track1 heads?

I would like to build a 406 with a Mini ram and I was debating what cylinder heads to use. My local engine builder wants me to use Brodix Track1 cylinder heads, he believes they will work great with a 406 Mini ram. I am leary because the Brodix heads have very large 215 CC runner which might kill of all my low end power. Orginally I was planning to run some heads with a 190 CC intake runners like Trick flow or AFR.

The engine will be installed in a 1988 Firebird with a T-56 transmission with 3.70 gears. I do intend to drive this car every day, and the cruising rpm in 6th gear will be 1750 RPM. My max intended RPM for racing will be 6500 RPM.

Will the Brodix Track1 heads work well on a 406 Mini ram engine? Should I choose some other heads?

215 is kind of pushing it but you'll have tpi and you should make up for it. go with what he says, you cant beat brodix heads!!!

The Track 1's would be a very good choice for your motor. I was going to go with Track 1's for my motor now, but the deal I got for these Trick Flow 23 degrees was just too good to pass up. The guy's at Lingenfelter had suggested the Track 1's for a 406 Superram setup I built a couple years ago as well as Gromm Racing Heads in San Jose.
Since you're running the Miniram, you're obviously not worried about the heads not having the EGR passage.
We've got a 377 with the Track 1's and a Miniram that very streetable and runs 10's. Don't worry about the 215cc's being too much. With the cubic inches you're running, it's comparable to a 350 running with AFR 190's or 200cc Sportsman II's. You'll still have alot of bottom end torque, especially with the 406. Hope this helps.
