Jet Air Foil Help!?!

Hi all. Well, the only way I can get this air foil to fit is if I jam it into the second lip inside the duct tubing leading up to the throttle body. How do I know if this damn thig is lining up? Maybe they sold me the wrong one? (for newer TB's)? It's got lips on the bottom and top of it that when installed into the throttle body, the duct tube cannot pass over it to be installed. So I just jammed the air foil into the duct (onto the second lip in their) and slapped it on. Looks okay.. how do I know that this thing is all the way in?

Well that is why most people don't buy those. send it back and get the TPIS one. It is soooo much better.
I know thu duct work is suposed to hold it on bu slipping the air foil in the and the plaing it againt the TB and installling to duct work back.
Those air foils suck, I am sorry you got fooled by Jet.

Mine will fit in the first lip of the air ducting and it works great! Don't let it fool you, my dad is an engineer and he says it should still greatly increase the air flow cfm numbers.

The air foil is designed to improve your air CFM at high RPM's, in TPIS secret book it says that have a hard time keeping an imiator's brand to stay in place after 3000 RPM, u dont want ur TB to suck that baby in, just return it to JET, and purchase the one from TPIS, easy install, took my about 3-4 minutes, the time consuming part is putting the screws in and out... Good luck.

Just for reference I am a Mechanical engineer. I know that the Jet will help CFM numbers, if it lines up properly. The problem is to get it to line up and stay that way. Withou being bolted down you have to wonder what the Dynamics of the Air flow do to it. Hence the problem that TPIS found above 3000rpm

Well, I grinded those damn upper and lower 'lips' off this damn thing...now it will fit perfect into the throttle body. Can I drill a small hole into the throttle body and tap some thread into it and just screw this puppy in? Sounds good to me. I'll use those two holes already drilled near the bottom of the airfoil.
Thanks for the feedback!

Sounds like it should work because TPIS and others use something like that
