Is there a difference between the 305 and 350 TPI on a 1991 Camaro

I have a complete TPI set-up from a 1991 L98 Z28 and wanted to know if there is a difference between it and one from a 305.

I plan on rebuilding the L98 in the future but wanted to put the TPI on my 305TBI until then. I do have the complete car from a salvage yard.

I know the fuel pump needs to be changed, as well as some cables and sensors from reading the article in the tech section. Can I use the current injectors with a custom chip from maybe Ed Wright??? My car is fairly modified with a Crane Compucam 2020, Edelbrock TES, High Flo Cat and 3" cat-back exhaust, rebuilt 700R4 with a 2400 stall converter, and 3:42 posi rear.

If I do the swap to TPI...what kind of performance gain will I see over the TBI? I currently run a 15.5 at 87mph.

The 305 has 19# injectors and the 350 has 22#. Other than that, they are the same!

Scott's correct about the injectors. Also the PROM is different in the computer, and the knock sensor is different.

My dad just switched from TBI to TPI on his 92 RS. He gained 17 HP and 70 TQ. See the thread about it in the TBI and General Tech sections.

The only difference between the two is the PROM and the knock sensor? With a custom chip will I be able to use the 22# injectors?

Yes with a custom chip you can use the 22lb injectors because if they are going on your 305, Ed will decrease the pulse width of them.
