They are on my car
There is another way of doing something close,
cut a 1" opening on the back of the SLP runners and remove the
divider and weld them back up.

One of the other guys did that and it worked well.

Did you check the for sale section? Or the wanted section? Seems you're beating a dead horse in here.

I think you'll probably have to port them yourself. Not that they're not out there, but there just can't be many. Most don't port the bottom end or the middle. There are a few sets of cast runners on the boards and on Ebay though. ...I wish you the best of luck with the runners and the whole engine!

Re: The Best Camaro Never made - Question about 1992 heritage edition that din't make

I already have a FULLY WORKED INTAKE.

Siamessed ported and polished plenum (gasket match at 1.75")
Ported polished SLPs 1.75"
ported and polished -stock- base (gasket match, 1205, 1.75"?)

I call it the "MAXPORT", I shift it at 5500 (for now...) as the rpms go up I can see (even on narrowband, wideband needs a new sensor) the afr goes lean. Short shifting causes an e.t. AND mph loss

I havn't put my afpr on yet-

Have you tuned it yet? Your MAXPORT has likely caused airflow to slow at lower RPM, therefore less air, and a little richer. The increase flow capacity allows more air at higher RPM, and as you noticed; more air = leaner.

That AFPR will lean or richen the mixture at all RPM. So, by cranking the FP, you'll fix your high RPM lean condition, but make the low RPM overly rich, when it is/was correct.

Fully siamesed runner and partial/fully siamese base will make this condition even worse. The more you change the intake from the factory flow, the more necessary tuning becomes.

Re: The Best Camaro Never made - Question about 1992 heritage edition that din't make

Have you tuned it yet?
Assuming he's still running the MAF (sig says 88 Iroc), and assuming he doesn't have crazy mods, you'd be surprised how well the MAF will compensate. I'm running a zz4 cam, and while I am NOW running a new tune, It ran like a top and passed smog with the stock tune, back when I did the swap. Now a conservative tune will still be conservative, and an aggressive tune will still be aggressive, but I've been impressed with how well the MAF is able to handle changes. Again, not saying a custom tune won't be "better", and not saying there's not power being left on the table. Just saying it should still run well.

I'm planning to install a fully ported base under the runner/plenum set up that I posted earlier, and to swap on a set of RHS heads in the next few weeks. I'm planning to datalog with the stock tune and my current tune, just to really see where I'm at and how well it runs. Figure that'll be a good starting point for a new tune.

Stock tune. It doesn't "loose" mph and e.t from short shifting. Letting the trans shift itself at 4500 makes the car run nearly the same e.t. and mph that it ran wit the stock intake.
