I think it would be real cool if somebody could tell me where the hell this tube is supposed to go. I just found after a year of owning this car and I am sure it isn't supposed to be this way! Link is HERE:

Kinda hard to tell, what's it connected to on the other end?
It's just a picture of a vacuum line, how are we suppose to know where it goes if we dont know what it controls or attaches too!

Well Mr. TPI, you can see where it connects to if you follow the line from the end. It goes to the right of the windshield wiper fluid bottle, then turns around left into the black thing on the left of the reservoir. Does that help?
Heh, thanks for pointing that out, but ..I lose it
after it hits the wiper bottle, I couldnt be sure where
it was going..
On my car, the hose attached to the black
solenoid on the side of the reservoir routes
into my firewall, right under the brake booster..
Then, up the drivers side to the windshield
wiper blades.
I dont think its a vacuum line, But ..
By the picture, the diameter of that hose
looks too big to be what I think it is.. So, I
am not 100% sure.
Is it connected to the bottom of the
black solenoid on the fliud reservoir?
Oh, the sarcasm was appreciated, next time
Ill think twice about how I use my time =)

If it's the 9/32" hose that's where mine goes. I lose it at the firewall though.Originally Posted by TPI

Your picture and description leave alot to the imagination. On my car, that hose comes from the brake booster and connects to a fitting under the rearmost portion of the plenum- a vacuum line.
It could also connect a PCV to the manifold on that side.

look at your cruise control, it goes to that i believe, if you look under your dash you'll see two actuators touching the pad welded to the brake petal, one lights up the brakes, the other to the right of the first disables cruise when you hit the brakes... it's oversizes cause it just opens a route for the air inside the cruise to equalize. pretty sure i can even see he open port on the cruise for it.. mine's still in the engine bay although the cruise is not,, yet another 2 ounces to subtract from my race weight, yee haw..

wait, wow where can i buy new eyes, do they take pay pal?? i was wrong about the cruise grrr..
do you have TWO breathers on your valve cover??? nice runners by the way. that line might be a letover from the pcv valve that isn't up front anymore, might want to change that back. just recently replaced my pcv and it does affect the idle a bit..

I just want to know what black thing he is referring too..
The "black" cruise control actuation or the
fluid wash motor tucked on the side of the reservior?
At first I thought wiper fluid line..
That's what confused me from the start!
Im sure he's talking about the cruise control
though, mine hose disapears into the firewall
like what Viprklr said.

i'm still leaning towards cruise, but it could possibly be for the wiper fluid. the fact that it goes to the firewall narrows it down a bit. who knows if it's stock though look at the rest of his engine bay. also why are we all scratching our heads, we've spent more time on this thread then him! when he post upa better pic or more info i'll try again.
here is a picture where I "highlighted" the hose.

And yes, they are nice runners. I replaced the manifold and runners with edelbrock. This hose doesn't go into the plenum, doesn't go into the manifold, and comes from the "black thing" attached to the wiper fluid bottle and leads to nowhere. If you need more description then let me know.

Soon as I get home Ill take a look from the inside
and see if I can spot it under the dash of the car.
Unless someone already knows

Correct. It goes through the firewall just below the steering shaft to the bracket welded by the brake pedal.Originally Posted by rockit

Crawled under my dash with a flashlight.

He had the right idea the whole time, Nice work!
