well when i start my car up the car immedialetly shuts off when i dont have my foot on the throttle..... when i start the car i have to step on the gas right away to keep it from dying...... then sometimes when i start the car up it will idle on its own but it barely idles at all (i says under 400 rpm), and eventually it will idle lower and lower until the car shuts off.. whats wrong with my car... its fine when i have my foot on the pedal but as soon as i take my foot off the gas it shuts off even when the car is stilling rolling.....

 

Check/adjust/replace your IAC and TPS. Sounds like your IAC is not opening. There's a test somewhere on here for the IAC that was posted by Vader. Might want to do a search for it.

 

ok thanks... my dad was saying the same thing also... we have a scanner to see if its functioning right and we bought a book that tells us excatly where the iac is suppose to be set at.... i hope its the iac or a vaccum leak..
