I would check your TPS sensor.

Re: Gulping air into the Throttlebody?

Check the TPS voltage key on engine off. It should start at ~.5V and increase to about 4V at WOT. If it doesnt, its bad. If it fries one in a week, you have a ground issue.

TPS Adjustment, check the FPR vacuum hose, check for vacuum leaks, fuel pressure, ignition timing.

Re: Gulping air into the Throttlebody?

That air filter isn't helping the cause either. The factory calibration relies a little bit on the restriction of the air filter housing to reduce the surge of air on a throttle snap.
Does it feel bad when driving it?
You can fix it with prom tuning though, if all your sensors are working.

Re: Gulping air into the Throttlebody?

The TPS voltage is ok .55 V. no flat spots that i can tell. No Vacuume leaks, fuel pressure is good, timing is 12* . Its been doing this since I put the TPI in it. About the only sensor that is not new is the IAT, MAP,CTS, and fan switch. EVERYTHING else is new. Dizzy, all ignition components, injectors are new/used no problems with fuel, new ecu/prom burned by fuel injection specialist, im kinda leaning towards the MAP.

On another note, I had another problem with hesitation intermittently right after an injector swap. When I went to ohm the injectors last thursday night and the hesitation has completely cleared up??? Not sure what to make of that, but oh well.
