Advice on Injector Size

I recently purchased a 92 305TPI engine. I have a 350 that I am putting together with the following. +.030 Flat Top Pistons, Sportsman II Cylinder heads (72cc, 2.02-1.60 valves, fast burn chambers)Competition CompuCam 268AH-14 (Valve Lift is .460 .464)
The injectors are 19#hr on the TPI setup I purchased. The regular 350's use the 22#hr. Will the engine run with 19#hr injectors??? How do I know if I need bigger injectors and how do you determine size? Thanks for helping out a newbie.

I had a 305 TPI in my 92 and then I upped it to a 350. The 19lb injectors didnt last long. I bought a set of 24lb injectors from summit. They work just fine.

I would give the 19 lb injectors a chance. You may never have a problem.

Yeah I dont know, I think I would spend the money and install them anyway since its apart. Sucks to have problems later on.

Assuming a max. duty cycle of 80% and BSFC of 0.45, 8 19 lb/hr injectors will support about 338 hp.

Keeping the Dc's and BSFC's the same here's a rough guide for other size injectors(based on 8 injectors):
# - hp
22 - 391
24 - 427
26 - 462
30 - 533

If you find your injectors are a bit too small for the expected output, increasing fuel pressure(at the expense of injector durability) may help. For instance, increasing pressure from 43.5 psi(OEM) to 48 psi will allow a 22 lb/hr injector to flow equivalent to one rated at 23 lbs/hr. If you need to increase the fuel pressure more than 10% above the injectors test pressure(typically 43.5 psi), you should upgrade to larger injectors. Increasing the pressure slightly will help the spray pattern of some injectors, but most injector manufacturers claim the increase in pressure may also shorten the injectors' lifespan.

Increased fuel pressure can also shorten the fuel pump life in addition to what 88IROCs said. Wouldn't want to replace that SOB.

A friend today told me I would be running it to lean and burn up a valve?? Any truth to this or just feeding me a line?

Thanks for all the input! You have been a great help!
