You want the best, you can have the best!!! Taylor just came out with ceramic boots on a spriral wire. I think they are in the ballpark of 188.00 for a set.
Realistically, MSD, Moroso, and for a good bang for the buck check out Summit racings 'spiral' universal sets. They last! and are $31. Get spirals and whatever brand you get, DONT GET ACCELL!!!
You need 90 degrees on all boots.

Why not Accell wires? Is there something wrong with them? I have them on mine and I haven't had a problem. Maybe you know something that I don't. Please explain.

Taylor wires are nice, you can get a standard spiro core set for about $50. You will need to assemble them yourself though. Don't forget to get a good wire harness. Made for You makes a nice center bolt valvecover loom set. Keep those wires from touching the headers, they will last much longer.

Doesn't matter what wires you get, if they stay on the header long enough they will melt. The key is the wirelooms. I got "Just for You" wire looms for center bolt valve covers and with my Taylor wires I've had no problems melting wires on my 1 5/8 SLP headers. If you need a pic I can e-mail you one. Very neat looking installation.

I wouldn't chance it. Most custom fit sets are made for the stock exhaust manifolds. (Mix and match of boot ends) If you see a custom fit set with all 90 degree boot ends, it should fit. Still, I would recommend making them yourself. All you need is a plug crimper, ($15) the universal sets come with everything else. If you run the wires through wire seperators (like the center bolt dividers) and cut them to length, you can't beat the look. Less chance of them burning on your headers too!!

88 is correct, get ones made for a 93-95 Chevy truck, 350 TBI. They're 8mm instead of 7mm, and they fit perfectly on a 87-92 Thirdgen.

Any of the top brands are good. The secrect is to keep the plug wires off the headers.
I have the SLP headers and a TPI. I bought plug wires which have 90 degree boots at the spark plug and where extra length. I installed the wires on the plugs and ran them up through "just made for you" wire looms on top of the centerbolt valve covers. Then I cut the plug wires to proper length and installed the metal ends at the distributor. No more burnt plug wires!

Not all aftermarket wires are better than stock delco wires. My preference is with Jacob's.....

I had packard wires on my car for 6 years. I figured I'd change them so I put accell on and after a year (not even) i developed a miss. After testing the wires (ohms) one wire had a radically high impedance, so I changed JUST THAT ONE with an old packard I took off (I don't throw anything out, but thats another story) and less than a month later another one bellied up developing a miss. They were not burned (6 cyl with manifolds and the factory heat sleeves were in place) and the ends weren't the prob. Bending the wires changed the resistance from 15,000 ohms to 80,000 to infinity ohms. I now put all the old packards back on and now they are on there for another 3 years on top of their previous 6! They work fine. Now I wouldn't recommend them for an extreme heat 'header' or CD type ignition, but it shows exatly what I think of Accell wires. I wouldn't put them on a lawnmower. I wouldn't use them to tie garbage bags shut.
My brother used similar wires 'accell extreme 9000' and ended up paying a better buck for these. And more since a bad wire caused his module to bite the dust. OK maybe one module going sporadically. But 3 in a month. I told him to take them POS off and get another module. Worked fine. Tested his wires and 2 were 100,000 ohms or better. Thats after 8 months!!! Lets see $85 for the wires + $60 for modules. Hmmm... are those accells really worth it? Aggrevation was priceless.
So I recommend any wire EXEPT accells for a reason. RETAINING SANITY!!!!
