Here's my problem I changed my cam to a comp cam L.480/.480 D210/220 LSA112 a month ago.Took it to the track this weekend and all I got out of it was a tenth of a second and my MPH went down a little.Every thing is adjusted perfect timing is advanced as high as possible with out knocking,fuel pressure tried 40 through 50psi 46 was the best.the only things that I can think of is the stock runners choking the engine and when I changed the cam I noticed that the intake valves had alot of carbon on them.What do you guys think the problem is here with lack of performance?

Think I should through a set of runners on to see what happens before riping every thing a part to clean the valves?

 

Get some runners. I doubt the carbon has anything to do with your problems, go for a long drive on the expressway.
