engine fan issues and such
so i was wondering if anybody else is thinking what im thinking......in order for my fans to work at all, i have to ground the relay, meaning run a wire from the ground wire where the relay plugs in, to a ground. i really dont want to buy another set of relays if it wont fix the problem. so could this be a relay issue or a ground? Also, every once in a while i get a EGR code, it onyl happens every now and then, but when ti does the car will idle higher, and kick back down if i give it some gas. vacuum issue maybe?? i mean the motor has 120,000 on it, so i dont expect it to work perfect all the time, after all it is a camaro, its tempermental :-)

On the fans, they are triggered via ground. Depending upon year, some go by a sensor in the block, some by the engine computer. So your relay is most likely still working it is the trigger feature that is having issues.
