whats that part?

ive been looking at a bunch of pictures of 89 t/a's with the tuned port setups and im curious to what the mechanism is on the drivers side under the hood thats right next to the windshield wash resevoir? its kinda round with a wire or something going to it then tubes coming out.

the cruse control is pretty much the only thing near the windshield washer fluid.

don't know if thats what your talking about though

Its the purge canister, its connected to the gas tank vent and it recirculates the fumes into the engine.

oh. thought that was on the passenger side next to the air box on tpi cars. well, on all the ones that i seen at least.

If it has a cable that runs to the throttlebody linkage its the cruise control, if not its the purge canister. you can run without both no problem.

On camaros it is on the driver side. Firebirds have it on the passenger side.
