Anyone see a problem using this cam on a 355TPI???

OK, first I'm gonna start by saying that this is the cam I have chosen and I know that there are better cams out there! I'm NOT looking for a reply such as "that cam sucks, go with (insert cam here)" or "why that cam, it sucks", etc. etc.!! I am looking for constructive opinions here! Mainly, WILL THIS CAM WORK??

The cam I'm looking at getting is the XE262 cam which has a 218/224 duration and a .462/.469 lift!! The engine it's gonna go in is a 355 TPI with Dart Iron Eagle Heads....TPI is stock but plenum has been ported and SVO 24# injectors have been added!! MSD 6-AL has been added as well!! Also, when I do the cam change I'll be buying an EdWright Fast Chip! Now....does anyone see a problem with using THIS cam?? Also, the cam is ground on a 110 LSA and I'm thinking about getting it ground on a 112 or 114 LSA instead because that's what TPI likes and it will also help my fuel mileage!

It will work, but you don't have to come on so strong. I understand that some thirdgenners out there will badmouth any part they deem less than perfect, but as long as it's done constructively with a reason behind it, why get mad? One thing though, some people say a part sucks because they put together a mis-matched engine, change the part and then it runs great. So they assume the part is worthless. I just study the info and I become judge. Not trying to lecture you, just giving everyone a little 'view' of why some opinions are what they are. But anyway, that cam will be fine.

Thanks dhirocz!! I understand what you're sayin' but the last post I put up on here got over 50 posts and 90% of the posts were arguements about some formula and whether or not a 750 carb would give you worse gas mileage than a 600 carb when all I simply wanted to know was whether or not the 600 would WORK on my engine! LOL! I just wanted to avoid crap like that in this post! Sorry if I seemed so rude!

LT4 cam is 218-228 .050 duration .495 .495 lift with 1.5 rockers, .525 lift with 1.6 rockers. That cam along with many others like the ZZ9 would be a better choice for your combo.

86TpiTransAm, would like to hear how this works out because I am going to retrofit my 56 running this cam (110 lsa) w/87 TPI and 89 ECM.
