anyone with firebird and MAF......

is there an extender that plugs into the MAF connector or are your harnesses just different. On a camaro they dont have enough slack to reach where your MAF would be. Just curious because I was thinking of fabricating a nice cold air induction setup for my car.

Different harness on the Firebird. No extension required. SLP has a premade harness for this very purpose when adding their cold air package to a Camaro. It's available seperately and is called a MAF Sensor Wire Extension Harness (PN 21021) with a list price of $14.95. Has the MAF connector on one end, crimp connectors on the other, and is about 12" long or so. A more elegant solution would be to replace the crimps with the correct Weatherpack connector so you don't have to hack up the factory wiring (also easy to return to stock).

I could be wrong, but I dont think theres a weatherpack connector available for the other side of the maf connector.

well if anyone knows of the female connector for this let me know. I am not about to open up a can of worms by cutting into the harness. Thanks

Madmax, upon further introspection I believe you are indeed correct about the unavailability of that connector. Oh well, there's always the soldering iron and shrink wrap.

Mike, I can understand you not wanting to hack up the factory harness but it might be the only option.
