Hello All

Just bought an 87 IROC Z. I am excited about it! I am new to Chevy, except for the older trucks! I couldn't find a general or off topic forum, so I figured I'd say hello to everyone here.

Welcome to Thirdgen.org!

I look forward to seeing you around and to
see your newly obtained IROC! They are one
of the best looking cars made, and truly fun to
drive on a daily basis.

Any details on the car? Condition, miles?
engine modifications? Most importantly... color?

Welcome!

You are right, there is no off-topic forum here. I guess it helps keep everything calm and focused!

Re: Hello All

Thanks guys. I agree...these are the best looking Camaros made and one of the best looking cars on the road. Here is my car:

1987 350 TPI
121,000 miles
T-tops
Dark Metallic Red
No mods, except for a missing AC belt (big whoop).

Best Part: I paid $2600.00 for the car and $795.00 for delivery.

What a steal.. magnificent IROC!

My first Trans Am had almost the same color scheme,
it was alittle more copper with grey GFX. Stunning..

Id pay $2600 for that car anyday!

Welcome again.. you'll fit right in
Id change your name though.. The IROC
just popped your "Chevy cherry" hahaha!

Re: Hello All

OK, so what is the best sounding exhaust to get for this car?? I want it to sound perfect, ya know what I mean??

I used to be a four banger guy, but I need some V8 power.

for the answer to that opinions are great but there are actually sound clips somewhere on this site for different exhaust so i would say listen and see what you like. i like my 3" all the way back with dual 2.5 outlets, i dont know what brand they are cause they were on the car when i bought it. i paid $300 for my trans am btw...

search the exhaust threads though you will find more there and possibly the aftermarket board. good luck

They make a 4" cat back system now. At the time I had mine installed they only had 3". 3" back with dual 3" coming out
