Re: not doing well around turns

yeah, its still original (just replaced original fuel filter this summer, and about 2 weeks ago, the original spark plug cables, and cap and rotor) but would that do it even though i'd have like a full tank?

Re: not doing well around turns

Weird. You're sure it only happens when you're driving in a circle (or are otherwise causing a reasonable amount of centripetal acceleration)?

Do you have datalogging capabilities?

Re: not doing well around turns

Lol, sorry.

Does the chugging ONLY occur when you're turning sharply?

Have you ever hooked up to your car's computer and recorded data from it to analyze?

Re: not doing well around turns

it happens when i'm going around a decently sharp turn and going fast, then when i go to knock it down a gear when coming out of a turn it starts to chug then....it seems like its trying to stall out, and no i havent ever locked into the computer when doing this, the only one who can gain access to a scanner in my house is my father from his job and he wouldnt really appreciate me driving like this lol

Re: not doing well around turns

I'm really not sure man. Does your car run fine the rest of the time? Are you getting a "check engine" light?

Re: not doing well around turns

nope the rest of the time its perfectly fine, runs like a charm, just needs a little more power i think, i'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fuel injectors, i mean the pulse is fine on them i'm sure, i took the car to autoshop and ran the scanner and none of the professors had anything to say about the pulse timing....anyway, i just did a tune up, taking off the original wires, cap and gasket, so i'm wondering if maybe original fuel injectors have anything to do with it.....i dunno, i'm still baffled lol thanks though for your help

Re: not doing well around turns

but could the injectors really make it seem to not get gas around the turns? like i would have thought the fuel pump too, but the thing is that its on the back right side of the fuel tank (just guessing that because when i floor it, it says that i have more gas than i really do, and when i make a right turn it says it too) but if i go through a sharp right turn, with a full tank and floor it out of the turn then it stilldoes this, ijust replaced the fuel filter this summer, and i suppose if the tank is rusting like hell then it could be the filter again, but it wouldnt make much sense as to why the original held up....i dunno, i'll see if i can get my hands on a scan tool, and rev it up a few times and see if the pulse width is correct, if cant, ill do what you said and check the ohms of them, i suppose i could always take them off and clean them too lol

Re: not doing well around turns

thanks for the help guys, but i think i found another factor to throw into this whole scheme of problems, possibly the battery, yes the battery, for the past 2 days ihave gone to start my car, and it hasnt started because of a bad connection, now today i went to try to start it and it didnt start, i fooled with the battery, then got it to start, then it would die, start and die, itwasnt until i floored it up aroudn 4 grand and then kept feathering the petal between 1500 and 2500 that it finally started running right, it was because there wasnt enough time for the fuel pump to start up between the start up and the dying out, but now its running fine, but i will still keep you guys updated, i dont think i'll be doing the fuel pump anytime soon, i really dont want to do it lol plus im in college and even a 15 dollar pump is a fortune right now lol
